This color palette is derived from Phlox (Divaricata), or Woodland Phlox. Phlox is a perennial and an annual. There are 67 species mostly found in North America and one in Siberia. Phlox has a star shaped flower formation. It is a favorite for wildflower gardeners due to its early spring bloom and ease of care. Phlox leaves often were crushed and added to water to cure ailments such as an upset stomach or sore eyes. This Woodland Phlox comes in beautiful shades of pink, white, lavender, blue and periwinkle.
