Feel 101: Color Psychology

In this course, students will analyze the emotional associations that surround color and forms by examining natural environments. They will also recognize the functions of an environment, organic or inorganic, and the function of particular colors in those environments and why emotions are experienced. This will enable architects to integrate color and shape into our built world. Students will solve complexities of human interaction, via organic structures, and the emotional connections or associations that are present in an environment. The structure of architecture in a cityscape as opposed to in a landscape and can be tailored to a specific environment, culture and climate. Lastly, they will choose objects from nature as inspiration for building structures and enhancing the emotional function of our built world. Mimic nature to enhance architectural elements and functions.
